Hemp Achene


Hemp Achene are commonly mistaken for a “seed”, or “nut”, however, Hemp Achene are the “fructus”, or fruit of the Cannabis / Hemp plant.  An Achene is a “small dry indehiscent, one-seeded, seed-like, fruit or carpel in which the covering does not adhere to the seed”  (Hettie M.
